Saturna Island Wedding Portraits
A couple of weeks after their big day, Cianna and Dane opted for laid-back Saturna Island wedding portraits at the East Point Lighthouse. It all happened during golden hour – that magical time right before sunset.
The East Point Lighthouse on Saturna Island was the spot of choice. It is part of the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve, and I highly recommend checking it out if you’re visiting Saturna! Its historic charm and the surrounding scenery provided a chill vibe for some post-wedding portraits. We had almost the entire park to ourselves (on a sunny summer evening!). The best part? Cianna and Dane got engaged here. It’s a very special place to them, and I couldn’t imagine a better location for their portraits.
The Details
I love that we set aside a different day to take their wedding portraits. It meant that on their wedding day, Cianna and Dane could focus on enjoying their time with their guests.
I also need to take a moment to acknowledge Cianna’s gorgeous wedding gown. After posting some of these photos on Instagram, I received multiple messages asking about that DRESS (heart eyes emoji). It’s stunning, and made such a statement. It’s from Luxx-Nova. As far as other vendors go, Cianna did her own makeup and hair so the list is short. However, I will eventually share a blog post of their full wedding day back in Victoria, and will be sure to note their vendor crew.
Gulf Island Weddings
I loved photographing Saturna Island, and spent several days there exploring and finding new photo spots. There are so many other locations I found! I am always down to travel to the Gulf Islands for weddings, elopements, and sessions. Reach out if you’re looking for a photographer!
