The Magic of Engagement Sessions
I am stoked to be sharing this Tofino engagement session on the blog today. Tyler and Sydney have booked me for their wedding next year. I’m super excited for their day; they have booked Morningstar Farm in Parksville, one of my favourite venues.
After booking me, one of the next steps is planning an engagement session. I highly recommend all couples book one for a few reasons. First and foremost, we can get to know each other before the big day, and I’ll get you comfortable behind the camera so you’ll be a professional by the time your wedding day comes. I know it can be super nerve-wracking to be on camera, but I promise you’ll have a blast! I recommend that you treat it like a date night with your love. It’s also a good opportunity to get some updated photos together, and you can use them for save-the-dates and wedding invites. Not to mention, engagement sessions are included in most of my wedding photography packages.
A Tofino Engagement Session at Sunset
While planning Sydney and Tyler’s engagement session, I threw out the idea of going to Tofino. Right away, they were on board! We met at Tonquin Beach, one of my favourite gems in Tofino because it gets gorgeous sunsets and has lots of interesting rock formations. Sydney and Tyler brought along Meka, their adorable dog, to their engagement session and she had the BEST time frolicking along the beach. We caught the most stunning sunset to finish off the session
Looking for a photographer who will come to Tofino?
I absolutely love shooting in Tofino and (COVID restrictions permitting) am there often. I am based in Nanaimo so it’s a relatively quick drive across the Island. If you’re looking for a family or engagement session, or want to get married/elope in the Tofino and Ucluelet area, send me a message below.
